My Treasure is a World Away

So very many care only for
gold and jewels and money...
but what can that bring you?

So very many want only for 
all the luxuries in life...
but what can that bring you?

I had a person say to me,
but with no gold, jewels, money, and luxury to give
you
what can he bring you?

And to that person,
and for my love to see,
I have this to say.

If tomorrow I opened a package from him,
with all of those frivolous things,
to me it would not mean a thing.

Because everyday, he sends 
his love, his thoughts, his gentle words...
and that brings me so much more.

You see, though far he may be
and rich he is not
his soul has more value than the most priceless gem.

And although, for now, my treasure is a world away
my love for him grows more each day
and that is why, each day, 
my answer is most definitely "yes".
