Updated online portfolio

Ever since I started running multiple blogs, I've suggested using a splash page if you run multiple blogs (or websites) too. As you'll see if you click the above link, the original version did the job nicely, but it was very simple.

Since looking for my next full-time role, agencies and interviewers have suggested that I could make my online portfolio much more prominent. They think I could link to some of my blogs from my CV. I quite like this idea, but it's another section of my CV that would push down my IT experience. For most job applications, blogs are not the first thing I want people to see - it makes me look like a blogger first, and a developer second. I'd put them at the top of my CV if I was applying for a blogging role.

Still, my portfolio could do a better job of promoting what I do online, whether for curious surfers or potential employers. So here is what I've come up with.

Updated online portfolio

You can see this in action over at bbarden.com.

I've added the link to my email signature, and will be sending it out to any agencies who ask for my portfolio, instead of typing it into the email.

What do you think? Is this better than the last version?
