This is my idea of fun: take a nice ambient track and dance it up a bit! So, here is a new version of "The Cliffs", from my first album, "A World Beyond".
I wouldn't say it's finished as there are parts of it that feel a bit empty, but I wanted to share this one with you all to see what you think of it.
You may find that it grows on you. Give it a couple of listens!
This is a remixed version of Ocean Dive. The original is from my first album, A World Beyond.
The structure and melodies are essentially the same, but with a few additions. The instruments are a lot better. I'd be interested to know what you think of the track on its own merits, as well as how it compares to Ocean Dive.
Green fields and dark clouds. A knight in shining armour holding his sword. He's the last one standing. Victorious, but alone.
The original version of Silversword was called The Sword, which was played entirely on the keyboard. Silversword added strings to the original track along with some extra music at the end.
I wrote a bit of the music on paper, but most of it was improvised. I recorded the left hand melody separately from the right hand melody, as my coordination is not great. But it's a lot more fluid than my other tracks, most of which I input directly into my music software using the mouse.
The title track from Hidden in the Beyond. It's a mid-length track (6:11) that's made up of several sections, each of which used to be a piece in its own right:
0:00 - Land of Far
1:45 - Climbing the Peak
3:36 - Twinkles
4:41 - Raindrops
Twinkles is a short bridge of variations. From 4:12 to 4:28, there's a variation of the opening theme to Moon Eclipse (from Twice Midnight). Finally, Raindrops starts at 4:41 and goes to the end of the track.
Duration - 18:33
Quality - 128kbps Note: I replaced the 192kbps version with a lower quality version. This is to reduce the amount of bandwidth I am using, as this is a large MP3.
A truly epic track, and my longest so far.
This track combines all five parts of "Aries" (from A World Beyond). In terms of numbering, "A Journey in the Dark" is now Part 8, even though it appears between Parts 1 and 2. This strange ordering (1-8-2) is only used to maintain the original numbering for parts 1-5.
Elsewhere, the intro is Part 0 because it is only there to lead into Part 1. Raindrops no longer appears after Part 5; instead, there's some new material in the form of Parts 6 and 7. Finally, the closing theme (Part 9) brings the piece full-circle by reprising and building on Part 0.
This is why the track is called Nine Intertwined - it has 9 parts, all woven into a single track.
I really hope you enjoy this track and look forward to hearing your comments.
