I guess that love is natural,
But it fills me full of fear.
How can I feel so close to you
When you aren't even here?

When I tell you I love you,
Do I think it's worth my while?
If I say I'm in love with you,
I know you'll run a mile.

Some people just don't understand,
When others love their friends.
They think we mean that we're in love
Like lovers, till the end.

So let me reassure you
That our love's not meant to scare,
I know I really love you -
Is that too much to declare?
