Happy birthday

It was my mum's birthday on Saturday. I phoned her and we had a chat.It was nice to catch up. If you're reading, I hope you had an enjoyable day!

News from Injader

Majestic 1.1 is in development. As I wrote in the blog entry at Injader, it will contain site templates. Today I got these fully working - you can now create, edit, delete and copy site templates. You can also apply a site template to your site - only one site template can be active at any time, but this might be extended in a future version.

House hunting

We are still looking for a place to live.  We're considering a number of options but nothing is set in stone yet.  With any luck we should have some news on this fairly soon.

Not coming back to the UK just yet

I am often asked if we're coming back to the UK for a holiday.  The fact we're buying a house (or attempting to) means that we'll end up with a mortgage, and we'd like to keep our other debts to an absolute minimum.  Flights to the UK are not cheap and we do not have as much disposable income as we did before we emigrated.

Much as it would be nice to see people again, it could be some time before we are able to.  Just to be clear, we don't expect everyone to fly to Australia - we know the costs are high in both directions!  When we are ready for a holiday, friends and family will know well in advance of our flight date.
