< What is RSS and why should you care? : Google Reader makes RSS easy to manage >
If you currently use Feedburner and you display the number of readers, you'll notice that when you click the graphic containing this number, a nice Feedburner page will come up. Well, it does if you use BrowserFriendly (this is on the "Optimize" tab when editing your feed details). Here is the address of my feed:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/Benbardencom
What I have found is that if you use the above link but you link using anything except the Feedburner counter - such as an RSS icon or a text link - you may find that you just get the default look for your feed. I have seen this in Firefox and Internet Explorer 7.
If this happens to your feed or you see it happening on anyone else's feed (I just found a site that had this problem), all you need to do is change the link to the following:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/Benbardencom?format=html
Now it should display the BrowserFriendly version!
I know this is in the Feedburner help pages (that's how I found the solution), but I don't think everyone pays attention to whether their feed is working exactly as expected once it's set up. Some people certainly do, but not everyone.
Hope someone finds this useful!

Hi Lis, thanks for the comment. :) It varies from browser to browser, but the main thing I noticed was that you don't get the option to subscribe by email. If your readers can't subscribe by email but you've turned this option on, then this tip can help resolve the problem. :)

Thanks a lot for this! Was wondering how to fix this bug :)
I think I BrowserFriendly-fied mine a long time ago so I've no idea what the default looks like.
