Eight great sites that I found through Entrecard

< Don't do everything at once, save some things for later : Why registration doesn't always work >

I have been tagged in the Chain Drop 8 Above The Fold Meme. (Thanks for the great comments!)  I'm not a huge fan of memes but I think this is a very good one.

I'd like to list 8 of my favourite sites that I found through Entrecard, that have the Entrecard widget visible without scrolling (that's what "above the fold" means), and that might be of interest to you - my readers!

In no particular order, here's my list.

1.  Make Money Blog (bloggernoob.com)

Don't be put off by the simple title that echoes hundreds of other blogs.  This is bloggernoob.com, a blog that is updated regularly with plenty of open and honest comments.  Noob's writing style is extremely enjoyable and he's also very receptive to comments, something that is important to me both on my blog as well as other blogs.  Quality is very high here; well worth checking out on a regular basis.

2.  Do Know Evil

Where Tyler Mulligan provides tips and tricks.  Sounds simple enough, but what sets Tyler apart from other blogs is that he uses plenty of screenshots, covers plenty of topics, and injects a dose of humour here and there.  There's quite a mix here, but it's a good variety and the tips are very useful.

3.  WoganMay.com

Wogan May writes about technology with some day to day posts thrown in for good measure.  His posts are very thorough without being too long to digest, and he has a great writing style.  He's posted some great comments on my site - and what's nice is that they read like "mini blog entries".  Down to earth and full of good points, Wogan's site is definitely worth your time.

4.  Technically Easy

When I first found Technically Easy, I thought that we were both doing the same kind of thing.  However, TE focuses more on general computer stuff than blogging and websites.  TE also reviews quite a few sites and while this would normally put me off, the way the reviews are split up make them much more interesting than your average review.  Very unique.

5.  flaminglacer's mutterings

Flaminglacer is a wordy blog with a lot of rants.  But this isn't a criticism.  You can tell the author is very passionate about the subjects she looks at.  One particular post, Do you want to be mediocre?, hit a note with me - you really have to write great content to make your blog worth reading.  Hard-hitting and really gets the point across.

6.  It's OK to be WEIRD!

Many blogs try to write about too many subjects and fail to attract a dedicated audience.  It's OK to be WEIRD is not one of those blogs.  A personal blog with a personal feel, the author always gives her opinion and is really good at writing posts that are fun and interesting to read.  Very consistent.

7.  BloggingNotes.net

BloggingNotes.net is about blogging tips.  For me, the main selling point is that the site does not echo the same advice as every other site - it looks at things from a very different angle.  Being original is very important and BloggingNotes.net has got it nailed.

8.  The Entrecarder

A new blog and a great idea for one, too.  The Entrecarder has so far looked at advertising strategies, the Entrecard forum, and changing the sites you drop your card on.  Perhaps it's a bit too new to know how it'll fare in the future, but I've seen a couple of other sites from the same author and they're all very well written.  So I think it stands to be a great blog.

If I've linked to you, please continue this by listing your own 8 sites - have a read of the requirements in the meme before you do so, though.  I hope I've pointed a few more readers in the direction of these great sites!

Wow, I must have done something right. I haven't even fully entered my blogging swing yet, either.

Yes, I can think of 8 sites I'm going to mention. Great idea!
