As with many of the tracks I will be including on this album, "Reminiscence" is a track that I wrote for FAWM. I changed the FAWM version in a few ways, mostly in the instrumentation.

The origins of this track go back many years as the first two bars of the middle section were written on paper with the title "The Pathway". I revived this very short section, building it into a complete track. I also decided to change the title as I felt that "Reminiscence" was more appropriate.

I think this is a good example of a track where I tried a few different ideas and didn't let any of them go on for too long. I didn't get bored while writing the piece, so I didn't rush it or get bogged down with bits I couldn't finish.

I am particularly happy with the ending. This isn't just the end of track 7, it's the end of the first part of album 3. To get the full effect, listen to the first seven tracks in sequence.

Technical details
Key - E flat / A flat / G flat / E flat
Tempo - 80 (but it slows down more at the end)
Quality - 128kbps
Duration - 2:30

One of the more braver pieces I thought because of the amount of changes and movement in it. You are great at not letting tracks get away with themselves. These tracks at 8 minutes would be too long, which is what many people appear to do. The strength of alot of what BB does is in the clear statement of lovely music without being pretentious. Nice one boyo.

Funny you should say that. I was worried that I had too many short tracks on this album. Thanks for the reassurance.

It seems like this is a popular track - it's the one that most people comment on (although not many do so on my site, as you can see!).
